The Supreme Court says “STFU” to religious nut

Actually, they didn’t say anything at all. They simply ignored her. And, honestly, I find this reality even more pleasing.

If you haven’t been following this story, a government-funded website – namely the UC Berkeley “Understanding Evolution” page – states that Darwinian evolution and religion are compatible. What’s the big deal (Other than the claim is false, of course)?

According to Jeanne Caldwell of Roseville, CA, this claim violates her religious beliefs as the website violates separation of church and state. According to the UPI story:

Lower courts threw out the suit, saying Caldwell was unable to show how she had been injured by the site and she asked the U.S. Supreme Court for review.

The justices rejected the case Tuesday without comment.

Of course, the court was wrong; Caldwell was in fact injured. In her magnificent stupidity she brought upon herself an infinitely large dose of embarassment, and for that I am sincerely… well, happy.
